Air France Takes Action to Reduce Waste

On the occasion of European Waste Reduction Week on November 18 – 26, Air France took the opportunity to remind its staff about the concrete actions implemented every year to reduce the amount of waste it produces.

Since 2011, Air France has reduced its waste by 11 percent, which is about the weight of five Airbus A380s

The airline is also taking action to sustainably treat the waste recovered at the end of its flights. A large part of the items used for in-flight service is recycled such as, coffee pots, metal cutlery, trays, drawers, blankets, trolleys.

In this context, 12.8 million headsets have already been repackaged, reused and recycled, while food waste is used to produce energy.
