VR-Helsinki aims to become the service platform for sustainable tourism. The unique virtual city experience has been developed by the City of Helsinki together with its partner VR-studio ZOAN. Virtual Helsinki was presented at Slush, the world’s leading startup event, on December 04 -05.

Aiming to promote Poland’s cycling tourism offering, the Kiev-based office of Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) helped Ukraine set a new world record.

There is no place like the countryside - 12 good practices of rural tourism is the title of a new competition staged by Polish Tourism Organisation (POT), aimed at promoting tourism in rural areas.

POT’s competition is dedicated to rural tourism as part of the European Union’s National Rural Network and follows the guidelines of the Rural Development Programme for 2014 – 2020.

Also co-funded by the EU, the initiative is aimed at identifying, spreading and promoting 12 good practices in rural areas.

Tourism-related venues awarded in the competition will become involved in a special promotion to include an album publication coming out in an edition of 10,000 copies, the support of bloggers specialising in tourism, articles and presentation on POT’s websites and through social media.

In May a total of 1.7 million arrivals and 6.5 million overnight stays were registered in Croatia, which in comparison with May 2017 represents a growth of 30 percent in arrivals and as much as 39 percent in overnight stays.

Tourism Ireland welcomed a growth of 7.6 percent in overseas visitors for the period of January – May this year.
