Chania to Host 2020 Cultural Routes Forum

Chania, Crete, is anticipated to host the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Forum in 2020.

Elena Kountoura, minister, tourism, Greece, recently met with Vassilis Stathakis, president, European Historic Cafes Association (EHICA), to discuss the support, promotion and showcasing of the 10th forum.

Stathakis briefed the minister on preparation carried out so far and planned actions within Greece and overseas while also requesting her support.

Kountoura said her ministry and the Greek National Tourism Organization would support the promotion of the event, as they did for every initiative an action promoting tourism and contributing to the strengthening of Greece’s international image and reputation.

Stathakis formed EHICA to build communication among members, present their history, culture and products, enhance tourist interest and attract gastronomy and coffee lovers from around the world.
