Liverpool John Lennon Airport Reports Passenger Growth

Passenger numbers have continued to grow at the UK’s Liverpool John Lennon Airport, with figures for June 2.5 percent higher than in 2017, taking passenger growth for the first six months of this year to three percent, compared to the same period in 2017.

Almost 470,000 passengers travelled through the airport in June with over 2.4 million passengers using the facility during the first six months of this year - over 70,000 more than in 2017 and the highest first half of the year since 2011.

Figures for the past 12 months show that the Airport’s annual passenger numbers have now exceeded five million for the first time in seven years.

Growth is expected to continue during the second half of the year.
