Brussels, Belgium recently became the second stop for Athens Road Show, an event designed to demonstrate the Greek destination’s competitive advantages and showcase the city’s convention infrastructure.

The Athens Road Show in Brussels took place at European Parliament’s Altiero Spinelli Building on May 08.

The happening was part of Athens Development and Destination Management Agency’s City of Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) efforts to promote the Greek capital as a leisure and business destination.

After a record five million visitors to Athens in 2017, ACVB launched a course of activities powered by some of the city’s most important industry stakeholders, to reposition the city in the meetings industry and as a world-class meeting and convention destination.

Attendance was by invitation only, targeting local senior associates of large associations, event companies and corporations with headquarters in the respective city. Local representatives from MICE media, trade associations and core professional congress organisers were also invited.
