Renovations Underway at Tegel Airport’s Terminal D

Following the travel intensive first holiday weekend from July 05 – 08 in Berlin, Germany, renovations are taking place at Tegel Airport’s Terminal D until August 20.

The works are expanding the security control area, in order to cope with rising passenger numbers and to reduce waiting times. The expansion of the security control area will be supported by the federal police.

Within the scope of the renovations, a new Heinemann shop will also be built. It is scheduled to reopen by the end of August.

Selectively and at only one security checkpoint each time, there were capacity restrictions during the main holiday period from July 30 – August 08 while boarding gate D70/71 is expected not to be available for the entire construction period.
