Airport company Finavia has started using Finnish technology company Nanoksi Finland Oy’s coating solution at Helsinki Airport. The coating can be used to remove viruses and bacteria from airport surfaces and furniture.

On September 15, the European Travel Commission (ETC), representing 33 national tourism organisations in Europe, has published the new ‘Handbook on Encouraging Sustainable Tourism Practices’, a guide which explains how national and local tourism organisations can encourage tourism stakeholders at every level to build sustainable tourism practices into their everyday operations.

The arrivals of Cyprus tourists reached 8,811 in March of this year, recording a decrease of 84,1 percent compared to March 2020 (during which 55,342 arrivals were recorded), and a decrease of 94,8 percent compared to March 2019 (with 169,934 arrivals).
